The Premier card is EMV. The one thing I don't like about it is that Chase made it like the Sapphire in metallic form. It definitely has the feel of a faux Centurion, and I've gotten a few comments from people asking, "Is this one of those black cards?!" I keep saying no and tell them the weight is because it has a chip. This will deflect the "OMG black card!" comment effectively.
