I believe Orbitz uses Worldspan and IB uses Resiber as the Host system and Amadeus as the Res system. Quite possibly Worldspan updates only Resiber and not Amadeus - for checkmytrip.com the ticket needs to be in the FE element to be displayed - if it was added to Amadeus from Resiber it might be only in the TKNE element - it will not then display on checkmytrip.com. IB uses Resiber as the check-in system, for check in they do not care what is in Amadeus - I am sure everything will be fine...
If you want to double check, call IB and check if they see the ticket number in the reservation. You may ask them to go to Resiber (all Res agents should have access) and also check if ticket numbers are there...
