I saw the closed thread over on the CX forum and came here. No question that you should go for BA's Y+.

I'm a Cathay person and I still fly BA to Europe because of the fares.

FWIW, I think that Cathay beats BA's product offering in all classes except Premium Economy. BA's new product is better than CX in this class only.
