Porto Alegre is the capital of rio grande do sul. Not a lot to do. It's an industrial city. Gramado and canela are two beautiful places close by. You could go from there to buenos aires or florianopolis. Both are an hour flight and awesome places.

If you go to poa go eat meat at Na brasa. Poa has the best meat. The gaucho way
