Okay hear me out. I went on a month long hunting safari to Tanzania in 2001. During that time we ate what we shot and as a 15 year old American, after a month of wild game, I really started to miss the comforts of home. I would dream about a burger and fries every night after a while so after that KLM 767-300 touched down at AMS I made a bee line for McDonalds.

Sure, the soda had no ice in it, the ketchup was overly sweet and it wasn't the way it was back home but it was one of the best things I ever ate.

A month hunting in Africa when you were 15? Wow... At that age, I was ecstatic when my parents took me to Florida.
