Manufactured Spending Netherlands

I live (as you might expect from the topic title) in the Netherlands. I have a FB AMEX card which gives me miles for FB, so I try to put as much spend on that card as I can. Unfortunately, creditcards, especially AMEX, aren't accepted everywhere in NL (for instance, most supermarkets here don't accept creditcards), so I'm not getting the most out of my spend.

Who has tips, suggestions or ideas about this?

Things I'm currently doing (next to using the card at a PoS):
- link the card to PayPal account and use that for online shopping
- use the online FB shoppingmall (double dipping if I can pay by AMEX))

It would be especially helpful to know if there are creditcards (other then AMEX) that are reloadable by AMEX without a fee.

Also: I go to the US every now and then, is it possible to pick up something while i'm there and take back home with me? (or would forex charges kill me)

Thanks for any and all input!

PS manufactured spend for reaching a certain min. spend to get a sign-up bonus is something that doesn't excist in NL. There really is only one card that gives you miles (or points) and that's AMEX, and they don't require min. spend for a bonus. The bonusses aren't that high anyway (25k).
