We (2 of us) are attending a friend's wedding in January 2014 in Karachi and planning to make a trip of it, getting some winter sun in South India beforehand. I would appreciate creative suggestions. I have a 241 Amex voucher to burn & would like to fly in F where possible.

I'm looking for imaginative suggestions to accomplish this in a way that maximises availability while minimising avios/cash spend (so nothing too demanding then ). I've not booked multi-leg trips with avios before, so I am sure there are tips and tricks I can use to make it efficient.
