Nope, must have been my twin brother or sister from a different mother
I jokingly have said I should be a weatherperson because I can guarantee snowstorms/blizzards on my travel days. But it's ceased being funny.
Since moving to the Midwest I'm dealing w/ flight cancellations both in the winter (snow) & summer (t-storms), and having to figure out if I can get Amtrak to/from Chicago & blue line out, or possibly driving 1/2 way to Michigan City IN & doing south shore commuter to downtown & then blue line, or if I have to go in a day early or stay a day late somewhere/get a hotel room (I think Marriott must have a deal w/ the travel gods too). I miss LA!!
All flights except 1 RJ tonight ORD-GRR are canceled (and I wouldn't be surprised if that one cancels too), so I truly don't understand how United can show the outbound flights tomorrow as on time departures. The aircraft won't be there.
If UA would let me know that tomorrow is canceled, I could go to Plan B (Amtrak & push to a later ORD-PDX flight). Not overly thrilled given it would be a long layover (8 hours), but I'd get into PDX for my 8am mtg the next morning. Also, if by chance the 1 RJ does get in tonight I don't know if they'll assign it to my early morning flight or the next RJ flight after that. Prefer the former since I have a seat (but it would probably be delayed due to crew rest); on the latter would have to hope I could grab one of the 8 seats still available.
Cheers.
