I just tried a booking for end of march (but not in the blackout period), and no car available at that rate -- but plenty available for $250-$400 for 5 days. So the rate isn't tied to vehicle availability, maybe they rent 1 car a day at this rate
I've made 8 reservations from SYD and can still see availability at the rates on the dates that I booked which would imply at least 2 cars available a day at this rate.
