Wow, that seems to be a violation of US trade law - where like customers must be given the same price for like products. It's hard to see how "personal characteristics" would allow different pricing. Not good for consumers...
Similar to how US Govt is dragging US consumers into mud in the sick care industry. US subsidizes meds and devices for other countries (illegal to reimport the same item at 1/10 the cost) and they allow hospitals to charge different rates to different people.
