I can't imagine the US government would permit an airline to charge a customer a higher fare over and above the lowest published fare on file just on the basis of that customer's relationship with the airline - essentially forcing a specific class of customers to pay higher than published in order to fly.
There are countless threads on the internet providing you with discount codes and such for various websites that it is a matter of time people figure out how to work around this too.

Will the OTAs also require one to login before seeing the special fares? Currently I see better availability on UA award tickets not logged in.
