Due to some last minute travel plan change, I had to book one-way award travel for 4 friends and each costs 12.5K miles .

I thought it would be easy that they can just tranfer mile back to me (all of them have enough miles in their account), but i didn't realize how much it costs to transfer miles.

They offer to pay me back in cash. I don't know what is right rate to charge and I'd prefer to get miles if there are ways to not pay transferring fee!

Any suggestion? Thanks in advance.
