if i remember correctly, your lot of miles beats his lot of miles by a mile. But then you're looking at airlines which traditionally do charge a lot of YQ, like VS. Even burning miles on the VS program cost huge YQ.
maybe train your guns on another partner?
doesn't matter who the partner is, jet charges some insane fees....i've used some jp miles to book on ua for an upcoming trip....while ua would only charge $2.50 for these redemptions, jet is charging me anywhere between inr 2k - 5k for the same flights....
