You could wait for the day and see how the timing goes. I want to caution you about the T4 luggage storage though. They're kind of "iffy" -- I had visitors go to check their luggage, and were told the storage was full. Another time, my visitors went to pick up their luggage and the place was closed because the attendant was on a meal break! They had to wait almost an hour.

So if you do go exploring on your layover, be sure to leave yourself extra time on both ends.
