In gratitude for your sharing knowledge and experience! I apologize for not being more clear on days and times - next Monday, the 11th. 101/439 departing MSY at 5:45p. There are two connecting flights that precede it. I also noted one backup possibility if I miss the 7:45 to EWR, there is a 9:00 to PHL, where I can rent a car to get home. As you shared, a tornado or rolling storm can pretty much trump everything - though I live in New Jersey I am originally from Raleigh and I do recall a one of those touching down not too far from where I lived.

That is good. The Sunday flight could have been packed with through passengers coming home from MCO. It is Spring break at some schools, but the local university is the week of the 11th and going the other way.
