I am presently booked on a Z fare from YYZ-MCO March 8th on the 4:35pm flight. Due to a change in plans, I had hoped to do a same day change to get onto the 6:30am flight. Checked one of those sites you folks here refer to frequently and it looks like the 3 direct YYZ-MCO flights are overbooked that day. The 6:30 flight has 5 J/C and otherwise zeros, the 8am flight has 2 J/C with the rest zeros and my 4:35 flight has zeros accross the board.

I plan to check availability again (to see if LMU has eaten up the J/C seats) and use OLCI at 12:01am on the 8th but am not liking my chances of being offered an earlier flight.

If the 5 J/C seats are still showing as available at 12:01 but I don't get offered an earlier flight at OLCI, is there any point to calling AC reservations to see if they can put me on the earlier flight? I have read varying accounts of whether or not they are able/allowed to make SDC over the phone. I know common sense and AC don't always mesh but I would think they would rather move me to the earlier flight and have my seat open at 4:35 so they aren't bumping pax off of the last direct flight of the day on the first day of March break but hey, what do I know.

My other option is to go to the airport at 4:30am and try to deal with a live person however, if I can't get on the 6:30 or 8am flight, I will have to treck back home because I can't just check my luggage in for my 4:35 flight and hang out in the lounge all day.

Wish I had status and access to the concierge...maybe next year!
