I'm sitting in the lounge in HAM after I was originally denied entry. The reason given was that I'm only a silver card holder. Fortunately, the lounge staff recognized their own error and went after me to fetch me. I was already looking for another place to sit not wanting to make a big fuzz over a seat, a cup of coffee and a few fruits.

It made me wonder though whether the BAEC status levels of silver and gold are putting us at an disadvantage. Virtually every other OW member seems to use a scale of silver to platinum with gold being the first real status level. It takes extra effort from the non-BA lounge staff not to reject a silver card right away, after probably seeing lots of illegible cards the whole day.
