Yes and I was recognized as platinum not PP

3 nights 2 rooms

Third, if you don't want to stay at Marriott's anymore, then don't, but why look for excuses?
I will stay at Marriott but as second choice no longer first unless you can provide reason. As a second choice they will probably get 60-80 nights not the 150.

Fourth, are you saying that SPG has NEVER made a mistake on crediting you points ever before?
No, but SPG has been more reliable on vacation upgrades. Dont care if I am upgraded on business. I hope when I get 100 nights (ambassidore at SPG) I get even better service then the 75 I had last year.

Fifth, my first SPG stay as a Platinum was so bad, the hotel comped the room without me asking, and I never went back. That could happen to anyone, at any hotel chain, right?
I have over 900 nights as a SPG an most were amazing (1400 as they dont count prior 1999). Wish my wife could comment as she is on personal travel not business. Early 2000s you couldnt compare, but SPG points devalued allot in early to mid 2000s. But that is a different thread...

I had a 50th bday in Maui. I talked to MArriott ahead of time and they did nothing. Rachel from Marriott concierge said she would work with room manager to see what she could do. I never heard from her???? I got a email from SPG saying I was upgraded before leaving.

hmmmm? Where will I give priority. I had higher status at M.
