Tight connection on WN at BNA. Your experience?
WN has a good reputation in terms of timeliness (things they can control) but awhile back I booked a MSY-EWR evening trip for two of us - that trip is coming up and I've become a little concerned about the 1/2 hour BNA connection. (In hindsight I might have figured out something with more time... but now it would cost me $400+ to change to BS/Anytime) I did some spot checks of MSY-BNA flight status this last week somewhat around the time this plane departs (the schedule changes next week) and the results are mixed (a few delayed, a few on time, a few ten minutes or so early). Do any of the FT regs (I am a noob though lurking for awhile) have experience with tight connections, Nashville connections and/or whether Southwest will reroute you on request earlier in the day if delays go up on the system. (I wish like UA WN had a way to access where the plane is coming from earlier in the day and whether it's on time.) I know the drill on same day switching - no change fees but upgrading to BS/Anytime - will they waive that if they know in advance your flight will miss its connection? As an addendum...if the MSY-BNA leg is slightly late...what is the chance WN will hold the BNA-EWR leg if it is the last one of the day?
