Those extra points count as status points whereas the free ones don't

Would you not book the 10,000 points per stay for 1 night and then book the cheapest rate for the other 2. Using your valuation it would cost you 29.34 to get $61.74 of points. Obviously there may be a minimum stay but the OP has not posted that.
