OEM micro-usb cables from Motorola and HTC works great & just as good as the N7's stock one when using the N7 charger.

BTW, charging works just as good using the stock iPad 20W (2 amp) charger using HTC or Moto cable - it made my traveling gadget packing cube smaller & lighter.

They are inexpensive & easy to find on eBay or Amazon or major online stores - generic ones are fine for me and no issues using all of them for charging and to transfer media, etc.
