yeah, the buyout of slingmedia by echostar was about half a decade ago now. DISH has been slow to integrate into their DVR's, they had some nifly add on devices for the their DVR's, but now they have fully integrated slingbox tech inside. There are some new things from sling on the horizon I believe, we'll see if the technology can survive.

SM did get I think 400M$ as a buyout, someone made a nice bit of change.
