CSL is just another abbreviation in a long list of office based ingenuity changes that serve to merely distance BA from it's heritage, despite using this heritage recently as a selling point. I thought they wanted to inject a bit of old skool glamour back into the customer experience?
I am sad to see the Purser title is going. Why does everything have to be tampered with by those that think they know best!? It's always done by people that have likely never worked in the role themselves.
I wouldn't be surprised if the term Cabin Crew was in line for being replaced by something like Customer Service Cabin Environment Operative!!
Kind regards

I would like to call it as Cabin Environment Operative so when I want to speak to crew all I have to say is - "Can I speak to one of the CEOs please"
I know very bad...
Regarding the title changes, form a customer point of view; I really do not care but it will be interesting on how it affects morale on staff... every change has an effect no matter how large or small it is.
I hope they will just see this another office bureaucracy and continue to give the good level of service most CEOs (not the fat cats).
