I think LCY is designed for point to point traffic and works reasonably well for this. it works less well for connections as you need to reclear security after domestic connections and the airport staff are hopeless if you are unfortunate enough to be impacted by IRROPS.

After a couple of recent cancellations I am much more minded to fly from LHR even though I live by LCY if getting to my destination is critical. The security staff at LCY are right up there with the worst examples at T3 too.

I still value the proximity of LCY and it works well for me for CWLCY flights but I wouldn't go out of my way to use it for other services anymore.
