I’m a sucker I know but yet again it was having the use of a lounge at T5 that swayed it although LHR having more flights to MAD should anything go wrong was also a consideration.
Well all this swanning around in taxis is a bit luxurious for me, but living a stone's throw from Scotland must be rubbing off on to me. Frankly I'd take the DLR, buy myself the sort of decent coffee you would never get in the air, and sit on the tall chairs by the huge glass windows that overlook the runway and the Royal Albert Dock. You could almost imagine yourself to be in a lounge. LCY is a great little airport, you'd be missing out.
