After never previously seen a XC60 at LGA, I was astounded to see 3 in the Luxury section this morning. One of the three was the T6 AWD model so I picked that one. I've always thought the XC60 was a very good looking car with the rear LCD lighting proving a very unique profile at night. The classification was GXAR.

The turbo straight 6 is a pretty sweet engine. It has very good low end torque while sounding very pleasant. I averaged a decent 21 mpg with a mixture of highway, suburban driving, and occasional full throttle launches .

The XC60 has one the best interiors in the business. The satin chrome and metal accent pieces really dress up the interior. The new LED lit shift lever is also very elegant looking. As for the seats, I thought they were firm but very comfortable.

Even though the T6 AWD retails for 41k, I felt that the car lacked certain features that a 40k+ car should have such as a back up camera or heated seats. The standard pano sunroof, headlight washers, keyless drive, and rain sensing wipers are nice but I'll take a backup camera and heated seats over all of them. The center stack was full of blank buttons but looking at some of the option packages, each additional functioning button will set you back 2k!

One oddity with the XC60 is that you can't turn on the lights on w/o the engine running. Also, the key has an interesting feature where it can communicate with the car and indicate whether it's locked, unlocked, or had the alarm go off using 3 indicator LED's.
