To those who have mentioned S America - SAN-MIA isn't intended to connect anyone to S America, it's about the local traffic and connections to the Caribbean. SAN travelers to S America can fly to DFW during the daytime and connect to evening flights.
No, I meant IAH - UA has a lot more southbound flights than DFW. It's really the best way to get many places in Central and South America out of SAN.
