If you read again, you will know that only Chinese (Mainland) were stuck in ICN. The rest of pax were offered lodging.

The issue is the Republic of Korea Government does not allow Chinese (Mainland) going to Korea visa-free. Chinese (Hong Kong), Chinese (Macau), and Taiwanese are allowed to enter Korea visa-free.
