Not knowing your origination or timeframe, I looked at routing from SFO to FCO in last half of December and see lots of saver award options, mostly on partner carriers requiring 2 stops. If you post you origination and desired travel dates, maybe some suggestions would be forthcoming. Pls post you status also, if any, because sometimes that affects the award search.
