Breaking a promise? The mileage copay structure has been in place for a number of years. I'm not saying you have to like it, but it's not like it was a secret when you earned the miles.

The fact is, once they swapped out the old recliner seats for the new lie flat seats, the number of premium seats went down. More people chasing fewer seats->UA can afford to ask for more money for those seats.
