I believe Jet markets it as a direct flight, but it actually has a stopover in Europe somewhere.
I am not sure why OP is insistent on a nonstop flight to BOM, but I think the only options are AI and UA out of NYC area. Taking a connection in Europe is not that big of a deal as you can usually transit without a visa and the European airports are generally nice.
