That's not a dumb question, Sueinjuneau. You cannot use an upgraded U fare ticket to access the AS board room. You need to have one of the following: a purchased F class ticket, an A award ticket booked in First class, an AS Board Room membership (or reciprocity), or the kindness of a benefactor.

Sometimes folks purchase a day pass if space allows (around $50 a pop IIRC). That may be an option for people who want to see whether or not they want to invest in a membership.

(I <3 Juneau - lived there in late 80s-early 90s & did lots of flying with AS. Beautiful little city!)
