I think it should be clarified that AC did not "save" AF passengers, they were able to extend an aircraft for emergency $$$$ lease to AF. It could have been Canjet or whomever else had a spare aircraft nearby. Don't for a minute think that they saved them.

In speaking of the Concorde, BA might make a little $ on it, but the costs of development, fuel & maintenance of the aircraft are so enormous, they will never, never even come close to being recouped.
