I booked the AAA rate at the Vistana for a week-long stay in a 2-bedroom villa. It did not say prepaid in either the rate description or the confirmation, and does allow cancellation up to 3 days before arrival - however, I found that my card was in fact charged for the full amount of the stay (which is still 2+ months away)!

I called the Vistana direct line and was advised that if I was "adamant" about reversing the pre-charge, that they would forward it to accounting. I didn't really want to be "adamant" but suggested that it was a "hardship" having this charge appear 3 billing cycles earlier than anticipated. We'll see if it's removed promptly ... has anyone had similar experience with AAA rates here?
