I'd appreciate if anyone can tell me recent experiences with these methods.
Update: it took 3 months, but I finally got the credit^.
I first sent a fax with a short description of the situation (rebooking) and a copy of the boarding pass to their
LA office. They called me a couple of hours later asking for a copy of the e-ticket receipt. Because EK rebooked me on a paper ticket, I didn't have an e-ticket for the flight I want to credit, so I faxed a copy of the original e-ticket. Still no credit after about a month so I inquired from the web e-mail form. A reply came a couple of weeks later stating that the flight has already been credited. I replied with more clarification. About a month later I pushed again via email, and finally they replied that it will be credited in 3 weeks. The miles actually posted a few days later.
