Hi All,

just booked my first multi-city trip via ba.com, trip details as followed ( all in Y):
AMS -> LHR -> DXB -> LHR -> MIA -> PTY make own way to SJO -> MIA - LHR - AMS

All legs except for MIA-PTY / SJO-MIA are on BA Metall!

After completing these flights I will have a total of 410 tier points, therefore wanting to upgrade a few long-haul sectors which would bring me closer to my desired 600 Tier point's .
When attempting to do so in MMB - it gives me a message saying " Redemption Bookings can not be upgraded using money or avios".
How is this a redemption booking? Is there any way around this?
