Even in the terminal there seems to be aversion to posting the gate info on the flight info screens till approx 60mins to departure. For a long haul flight this info is surely known 90-120mins prior to departure. The gate info for a recent domestic flight I took was posted 45mins prior to departure.
Amsterdam can show you the gate info the night before on their website.
