It's interesting that third-party booking systems like the one queried by ExpertFlyer continue to show plenty of room on the seat map.
This suggests to me that if you called you travel agent and had them put in a seat request for one of the seats that ExpertFlyer shows as "open" -- e.g. 16B or 21H -- the request might stick.
