I'm new around here, and found some related posts via Google, but no one had something quite like my question. Last year, I had 15 RR credits and since I needed one more to get a free set of roundtrip tickets. I paid for the points to collect the last credit and when I did so, I was under the impression that I had to book the award flight within a year of the date. So, fast forward a year--after starting my new job, I actually have vacation time this year! But when I try to book my award, it seems to want me to book a flight before March 3rd. When I called in last year to buy the 16th credit, I was under the impression that I only had to book the travel by March 3rd. Clearly this was bad information. Obviously I can't travel before the 3rd, so is there any way to pay more to extend the expiration date? Or any other way to finagle this so I don't just lose the award?
