Best Price you've found, Hertz or otherwise: $320 Hertz - prefer Hertz for the free spouse additional driver and also 4 hr grace period via Amex - but did find a Ford Focus at Dollar for ~$220 but its from the LHR Sheraton - how annoying is this to deal with for 2 people with a suitcase each?

A few points
1) I'm not sure that the Hertz Gold additional driver coverage works in the UK - it's not listed on the UK additional driver FAQ

2) For the Sheraton Heathrow - easy from T5 as the 350 and 441 stop close by,but more of a slog from T1 and T3 and a right PITA from T4 (and these are London buses so often not great for large luggage but at that time of day they should be pretty empty

3) The Amex Insurance - you'd need to check that you have world wide coverage - my UK one clearly states that this is the case
4) Which type car are you after we have different codes over here for two people with largish suitcases you'll need something like a C class = Vauxhall Astra - but this will be a manual - will that be a problem
