I fly out of LAX far too much, so here is the deal..it is no more than a 5 minute walk from the farthest DL gate in T5 to any DL connecting gate in T5. Simple as that. One other thing, when a pax flight is running late, why not be a little proactive with the FA on the flight you are on, and let the FA know you have a tight connection, so you don't have to wait forever to get off the plane and walk to your connecting gate.

For that matter, how many of us on this board sit all the way in the back of the plane anyway? It happens, but not often. (And, yes, it did actually happen to me recently...DTW-LAX with a 139 mph headwind... Seat 45F on a 757...that was a flight from hell...it followed my AMS-DTW).
