They're doing a lot of other things to prepare for the merger. As I remember, DL initiated the MM concept. That and because of a lot of other things I've seen throughout their merger, I don't think they're looking to renege. And we've caught Mr. Smisek's and his CFO's act.
The more that I think about this, the more I think think you are correct! This seems like a a very AA thing to do...they smell blood in the water and see an opportunity. When most of my organization "matched" to AA last year, the AA executive we were in contact with "apologized" on behalf of their industry for the difficulties we were experiencing at UA...Funny, we never heard an apology from UA management (we did hear them all the time from customer facing staff though...they were and are still embarrassed at how loyal customers are treated by UA)
