Any problems in doing this? I've stayed 4-to-a-room in other Hiltons in Europe with no problems, even though i wasn't allowed to reserve it as such.

I don't have any specific experience with this property but my understanding is that Italy is pretty strict with their occupancy requirements (usually due to fire code). Additionally I believe you are also required by law to register each guest with the front desk.
Best to call the hotel and see if they have a 'family' room or something slightly larger that accommodates 4.
