I don't think the average gambler is as savvy as the average flyertalker. Someone who plays slots at a 30%+ house edge is not going to be worried about squeezing 1.6 cents per point out of a comp instead of 1.4. Neither is my friend who told me I should hold the 9 and 6 at VP yesterday because they are lucky - but she had a lot of free play at Greektown Detroit. The people that already maximize their play by knowing strategy and being good at math will not have a difficult time figuring out casino comp systems. With only a few major players out there, not an overly complicated world like that of airline programs.

It was great back in the late 90s when I started my pilgrimages to Vegas. Now it makes Omni PR look like the sesame street forum.
If you want to learn game strategy, wizardofodds.com is (at least was) a great site. Taught me perfect strategy for blackjack and video poker. It is not really a forum though - just a site run by a guy with a phd in statistics. I believe there were some articles about maximizing comps. Been awhile since I visited though.
