They haven't allowed combining shareholder OBC with other cruise line sponsored offers for a while now. I would need to look, but I believe it to be around 4 years. Now, if you received an email from the shareholderbenefit at rccl.com email address that actually stated the OBC had been applied, they should honor that no matter what. If you have that email, send it to RCL, and I can't fathom that they won't give you the money. If you have sailed more than once with RCL, you should be a Crown & Anchor member. You can find contact #'s here.

There are different ways agents can provide credit. They can "buy" it (actually anyone can buy obc as a gift to someone who is sailing), in which case, I would expect these offers could be combinable. There's also a menu of offers from RCL that agents can choose from that has already been mentioned which may include OBC as an option. In this case, that's coming from RCL and is not combinable. I ran into this with Amex Cruise Privileges. As a Diamond Plus, I get a good discount on balcony cabins, and could not get that AND the Amex benefits.

Frankly, I haven't gotten a heck of a lot of benefit from the Shareholder OBC because of this. The only time I ever benefit from it is on short cruises when I don't bother booking a balcony cabin. One thing I have gotten is a 300 percent return on my investment because I bought it at the height of the financial crisis when no one was going on vacation ever again. Good luck.
