When you chose to earn miles, did you take points as your Plat amenity and did they post?
the question was not directed to me, but I can tell you that I have many times chosen points and the Plat amenity will not post (even when the hotel says it will).
it is possible to switch back and forth, but when on miles, the nights do not count toward your lifetime status either (so some may want to consider this).
