Its a 11 hour wait in Dubai for the connecting flight.
The earlier flight EK701 departs at 03.05 would be perfect for me, but only flex reward tickets are available currently on that flight.
Is there any chance that if I ask at Dubai when I arrive they can switch me to the earlier flight if there are seats available in Y? (I mean without using more miles or cash.)
Has anyone had that happened to them?
I have been changed twice to an earlier flight before at the airport, but only on paid tickets, not reward tickets.
No harm in asking at all...and dont take the first "no" as no. Ask at the lounge. Then ask at the gate if the lounge staff cant help. Pays to be persistent...good luck. Let us know how you get on...
