I've said it before - but people should be wary that EK yield management people are very talented people.
I've been at LHR on a non-firm ticket - and the last 4 flights of the day ran 100% in Y.
This was despite 2 days previously every one of these flights showed maximum availability in Y (don't know about the 1st flight of the day as wasn't relevant to me - that may have been 100%). There were only 3-4 A380's so a bit of capacity has been added - but EK & QR are 2 airlines i've boarded a flight running 100% when I expected it to be some 50% (whereas my powers of predictions have been spot on for SQ & MH in the past!).
So, really, really don't take anything here as a sign you will have an Economy bed to yourself!
