Do they not realize smoking is not a crime and represents some 19% of the US/Can market? Considerably more overseas!
If that statistic is US residents that smoke, it isn't necessarily transferable to the lodging industry. It isn't a given that someone who smokes will want a smoking room in a hotel, particularly in properties that offer patios/balconies.
