We asked her if she can provide info as :
1. is it a new policy that they have blackout dates for diamond suites ?
2. is the blackout dates from the hotel itself or from hyatt corporate?
3. where exactly is the blackout dates published? since when ?
Csr sticking to story that the hotel manager said it is blackout for those 2 weeks for diamond suite certificates.
considering the difference in price for a normal room and that park suite is only $200 !
Firstly, calm down.
I was not aware that there are blackout dates, however, I didn't think that if they are available this automatically made them available for a e-cert. I am happy to be corrected.
The PH MEL is not a huge hotel and they are often sold out for the Melbourne Airshow, AFL games, nearby concerts.
Most importantly, the property has exceptional Diamond benefits. At worst you will receive a Club Deluxe King which is a suite without a door. IMO, e-certs are waisted here. So relax. Also remember that during sold out periods you will receive the best upgrades.
